"Eyeson" ("we", "us", "our") means the services and products (including all applications) as described in our Terms of Service and/or the provider of such services and products, eyeson GmbH, FN 344239i, Herrengasse 3, 8010 Graz, Austria. We at Eyeson know that our users ("you", "your") care about how your personal data is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. This privacy policy describes how Eyeson collects and uses the personal information you provide using our Websites, Applications or Services. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. By visiting or using our Websites, Applications or Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the following ways.

What does this privacy policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") that we gather when you are accessing or using our Website or Services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.

Information that we collect

Information You Provide to Us:

We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example, we collect Personal Information such as your name, email address, and browser information. You can choose not to provide us with certain information such as your credit card information, but then you may not be able to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.

When using our services you need to enter at least your e-mail, password, first name, last name. If you choose to create an Eyeson account via a third-party service such as Facebook or Google, no passwords of the third-party service get transferred to our system (see OAuth). When the authentication is complete, we’ll be able to access certain information based on your permissions from the third-party service. Some features also require entering your company name and credit card information.

When using Eyeson the application might ask you to allow access to your contacts and contacts data. Eyeson will use these contacts only to provide you better usability and workflow while using Eyeson e.g. in order to invite your contacts to Eyeson, share Eyeson groups via Eyeson and via social media and meet with video and audio in Eyeson group calls. If you do not want us to use your contacts for Eyeson features, do not allow access in your apps.

Information Collected Automatically:

Whenever you interact with our Websites or Services, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, "cookie" information, and the page or service you requested. "Cookies" are identifiers we transfer to your computer or mobile device that allow us to recognize your browser or mobile device and tell us how and when pages in our Website are visited by you. We collect data about your geolocation by evaluating the IP address.

Eyeson uses technologies such as cookies, beacons, scripts and tags. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the website and gathering demographic information about our user base as a whole and use web push notifications to retarget visitors if allowed in the notification preferences. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing these types of tracking technologies.

Our website includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button, and Widgets, such as the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our website. These Features may collect your Internet protocol address, which page you are visiting on our website, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our website. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy statement of the company providing it.

E-Mail and other Communications:

Eyeson may contact you, by email or other means. Out of respect for your privacy, you may choose to stop receiving emails or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails, accessing the email preferences in your account settings page or you can contact us at support@eyeson.com. The user accepts that messages and any data that is uploaded and used in the Eyeson service are visible to other users of the Eyeson service and might be stored permanently. Your audio and video are also visible to other users of Eyeson. You have the possibility to decide if you want to send audio and/or video by your own user input (enable/disable cam/mic). Optionally users can decide that Eyeson sessions will be recorded or broadcasted – in this case, your audio and video are distributed as part of the video stream or part of a recording stored permanently. Eyeson never records or broadcasts audio or video streams automatically without user permission.

Information related to the usage of Eyeson

Our servers automatically record information about how a person uses Eyeson, including IP addresses, app versions, operating systems, device models, device languages and device country settings and other statistics. We use and analyze (and may engage third parties to analyze) this information to customize and improve Eyeson. We also use non-identifying information about how Eyeson is used or develop features to protect us against attacks.

Where Do we store your personal information?

The information that Eyeson collects from you will be transferred to, stored and processed in a destination in the EU. By submitting information, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute your Personal Data to third parties except as provided in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Data may also be transferred to third parties who act for or on our behalf, for further processing in accordance with the purpose(s) for which the data were originally collected or may otherwise be lawfully processed, such as services delivery, evaluating the usefulness of this website, marketing, data management or technical support. We share such Personal Information in personally identifiable form with third parties as described below.

For External Processing, Trusted Third Parties:

We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide the Services to you. Unless we tell you differently, such third parties do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. This includes third-party companies and individuals employed by us to facilitate our Services, including the provision of maintenance services and general improvement of the Services. In particular, as part of our provision of the Services to you, we provide a limited amount of your End User Customer Information to HubSpot, so that it can collect and compile publicly available information, such as name, email address, company, IP address, location. Additional 3rd party cross-platform push notifications services and automated lead qualification platforms are used to support the Eyeson marketing, sales and customer success teams with sufficient data in order to qualify and segment users. Reseller 3rd party platforms are used to sell Eyeson licenses and subscriptions. Please read the terms & privacy policies when purchasing Eyeson licenses on reseller platforms. During Eyeson meetings we provide the possibility to play/insert GIF animations as part of the video streaming. Doing so we use the GIPHY SDK which automatically receives and records information from your web browser or device when you search for, select, view or receives a GIF, such as your IP address, device ID, user query information and cookie information. For Eyeson webinars, the host user of the webinar will receive the data of participating users (participants list) for the purpose to contact and re-engage with the webinar participants.

For Legal Reasons:

We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside Eyeson if we have a belief in good faith that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
  • enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
  • detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Eyeson, our users or the public, as required or permitted by law.

With Your Consent:

Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Information may be shared with third parties and will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.

Is the personal information secure?

For your privacy and security, your account is protected by a password. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and personal information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

We try hard to protect the privacy of your account and other personal information we hold in our records, but we cannot guarantee complete security. The transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of user information at any time.

The transmission of information on our websites or services is encrypted using TLS (transport layer security) or SRTP (secure real-time protocol).

The Website may contain links to other sites. When following a link to another site you should read that site’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites.

What personal information can I access?

Through your Eyeson account settings, you may access, and, in some cases, edit or delete the following information you’ve provided to us:

  • name and password
  • email address
  • profile photo
  • company name
  • company size
  • position in company
  • location
  • credit card information
  • email addresses and names of your team members (for team licensing)

The information you can view, update, and delete may change as the Website changes.

Changes to this privacy policy

Any information that we collect is subject to the privacy policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may, however, revise the Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes may be posted to our blog or within our Apps, so please check that regularly. The most current version will always be posted on our Privacy Policy page.
