eyeson’s Single Stream Technology has a patent in the United States.
Intellectual property matters. That’s why we applied for a patent in the United States in February 2018. One year later we are proud to announce that our patent has been approved. Our Single Stream Technology (SST) has now a patent in Austria and in the US.
Andreas Kroepfl, Michael Wolfgang, Peter Mayer, and Florian Limberger started this company in 2010. Three years later, the SST was patented in Austria. Five years after we have received the Austrian patent, we applied for a patent in the United States. In February 2019, we finally received the patent in the US as well.
As we know, the video communication market is quite intense and competitive. That is why protecting 🔐 our unique technology is so important to us. After all, lots of hard work and brainpower went into creating it. One year of waiting for our application to process and we finally reached our goal.
So what’s the patent about
We hold the patent on eyeson’s Single Stream Technology (SST). Our technology is an upgrade to the already quite sophisticated MCU (Multipoint Control Unit) technology. But how does it work? Well, it all boils down to scalability. Scalability is responsible for keeping superior video and audio quality during the whole meeting, even when the number of meeting participants increases.
The only technology that is capable of guaranteeing excellent scalability is MCU technology. Due to its complexity and server capacity, it was not used that much. That’s why we came up with our Single Stream Technology.
eyeson’s Single Stream Technology is the ultimate technology for video communication.
